We won!!!! All AI products taken off tonight’s PEP agenda (12.17.25)
Dec. 17, 2025
This is a last minute email to let you know that DOE has removed the AI products from tonight’s PEP agenda, because they were told they would not be approved! A big thank you to those of you who sent emails in opposition. And for those who were planning to attend to speak out against the contracts: much thanks but it is no longer necessary.
Clearly, our movement is growing, as more and more parents, teachers and people who care about our children are recognizing the many risks of AI . Hopefully with a new mayor in charge, the DOE will be far more proactive about the need to guard against the potential damage of AI to student privacy, learning, emotional development and the environment.
Please also consider giving to Class Size Matters this holiday season– and if you do, check off if you want your donation to go to the Parent Coalition for Student Privacy, to help expand our work on AI and student privacy.
And celebrate tonight with your loved ones — I know I will.
