DOE’s pitiful performance yesterday at class size hearing

2. Thanks so much to those of you who testified at the Council hearings yesterday on class size, or came to the rally beforehand at City Hall. I am sorry to say that the DOE officials who spoke at the hearing refused to commit to taking any specific steps to lower class size in compliance with the law. Here is a brief description of some of their misleading claims, as well as my testimony refuting their points. More on this soon. Remember, you can also upload written testimony on class size on the City Council website here, deadline Sunday night. Please also share your testimony with me if you are interested in having it seen more broadly.
