DOE proposing to cut $1.1B & 11,000 new seats from the adopted capital plan

The presentation is also posted here.

The DOE is proposing to cut $1.1 billion from new school construction in the capital plan, and to cut more than 6,000 seats from Queens and nearly that many from the Bronx.  The Panel for Educational Policy will vote on this plan on Wednesday night, April 27 at 6 PM. If you’d like to speak against these egregious cuts that will make it impossible to lower class size for years to come in the most overcrowded borough, you can register here; starting at 5:30 PM: https://www.learndoe.org/pep/apr27.

Below is the presentation I have given to several elected officials and PEP members on these cuts that make no sense at all.
