Reminder: important class size hearings on Friday; please come
Welcome back from mid-winter break.
Just a quick reminder that Council hearings will be held this Friday, Feb. 28 starting at 10 AM on the need to lower class size in the public schools at City Hall.
We are urging the City Council to allocate specific funding towards lowering class size, first in the early grades and struggling schools. An updated FAQ with more information about this is here. A flyer you can share with other parents is here.
Please attend these hearings to show your support for smaller classes — even if you don’t choose to to testify. If you do decide to speak, public testimony will begin about 11 AM and then will likely continue till at least 1 PM.
